Breaking Ungodly Soul Ties

SOUL TIES
What Is A Soul Tie?
A soul tie is the knitting together of two souls that can either bring tremendous blessings in a Godly relationship or tremendous destruction when made with the wrong persons.
The bible describes a soul tie also as knitting and cleaving which means to bring together. Follow close after, be attached to someone or adhere to one another as with glue. Joined together.
Although we can
t find the word soul tie in the bible we can find Knitting and Cleaving in its context.
Definitions
The Strong Concordance
Abhor-strong word meaning regard with extreme repugnance. To reject & hate
Conformed- by association denoting union with or together
Cleave- To cling or adhere
MEDITATION
1Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God you whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Components of Man
Body
Spirit
Soul
Mind
Will
Emotions
The mind is the thinking part of God and man. The mind is the logical part of man's nature. God's logic is always perfect, but Adam's logic was not. He was not a little God. Adam was responsible for using his mind to arrive at correct conclusions by following the logic of the mind. The conclusions of the mind are directed to the will for the final decisions and actions.

The will of God and man is free to make final decisions based on input from the mind, emotions and spirit. God's will is always correct, and one does well to see it. God's will is the final source of truth. A person's will makes his final decisions. A man's "last will and testament" is his final direction for handling his affairs after his death. God's will is perfect, but Adam's will was not. He was not a little God. Adam was responsible to use his free will to arrive at a conclusion and to make the final decision. The free will directs and controls the actions of the body. The mind does not control the body as many people believe. The spirit is not in control of the body as falsely claimed. The often heard clich

The emotions of God include the
é, "The Devil made me do it." is a lame excuse for sin by a person in denial. The will controls the body through the organs of the body such as the nerves, hormones, etc.
Attributes of God. God's attributes are in perfect balance. God hates evil people and loves those who believe His Word. Adam was not perfect, and his emotions were subject to error. Adam was responsible to apply the proper emotional traits as required to arrive at godly decisions, but he failed to do so. A few of Adam's negative traits were laziness, selfishness, self-centeredness, greed, etc. A few of Adam's positive traits were faithfulness, truthfulness, honesty, etc. The emotions respond to a situation with an emotional conclusion that is then directed to the person's will.
Revelation

Gen 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
When man was created he was directly linked to the source which is the spirit of God. After the Act of eating the forbidden fruit a soul tie was created with the devil. They contracted a Sexually Transmitted Demon (sin)

Soul Ties

MEDITATION
JAMES 1:7-8
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways
What Is A Soul Tie?
A Soul Tie is the knitting together of two souls that can either bring tremendous blessings in a Godly relationship or tremendous destruction when made with the wrong persons.
The bible describes a Soul Tie as knitting and cleaving which means to bring together.
Revelation
The divided soul keeps you from receiving
Ponder this.......
Are you bitter, angry, thinking of the past
Are you feeling rejected constantly meditating on these things and people?
You are probably tied to those people and things.
Reflection
Meditate on these thoughts, those things that apply to you and your life.

Ask God to reveal these hidden wedges between his will and your heart, you inner being, your spirit.

Being tied to many people and things scatters the soul and will keep you in bondage to these numerous things and people.
Self Work
1 Corinthians 6:17
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Many Times we are distraught, confused and unsettled within ourselves and all seems lost. We are not eased or satisfied with ourselves, surroundings or the relationships of those around us. This can be caused by being scattered and divided amonst two many people or things. I want to take this time to share with you the concept of Soul Ties. We are getting more familiar with this topic in our weekly conference offered through The Complete Woman Fellowship. I encourage you to reflect on this lesson and the things in your life that you may be or have allowed yourself to become tied to in the past.

He said unto him, What is written in the law? How readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

Reflection
Cut past emotional, physical, mental ties!
You must leave to cleave!
Are you soul tied to a situation?

Symptoms of Soul Ties
obsessed, preoccupied, distracted with things which cause you to neglect the things of the Lord
Questions to Ask Yourself
Is this person compromising ?
Do they have a giving spirit?
Are they kind?
Are they saved and walking with Jesus?
Are they controlling or manipulative?
Self Work
2 Chronicles 15:12
And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul
Deuteronomy 10:20
.
Thy shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shat thou serve, and to him shat thou cleave, and swear
Being tied to many people & things scatters the soul and will keep you in bondage to these things and people.
Prayer To Release Soul Ties
God I come before your throne of grace boldly and covered in the shed blood of your son. In Jesus mighty name I ask you to cut any and all ungodly soul ties between myself and anyone else created by sexual acts or any other relationship, know or unknown, remembered or forgotten. Please father, take the sword of the Holy Spirit and separate my human spirit with the human spirits of anyone with whom I have ungodly contact. In Jesus name, I ask you to cleanse those ties by the blood of Jesus of any possible access through which Satan can trouble me or my family. By the authority of the name of the lord Jesus Christ, I break the power of any and all covenants, contracts, dedications or commissions made over me. In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, I now command any and all demons which may have come into me by Ungodly soul ties or any other sin to leave us at once never to return. I bind you all together as one, and I weaken you with the blood of Calvary. I command you to go where the Lord Jesus Christ tells you to go by the voice of the Holy Spirit. Father, in Jesus might name, I ask you to shut any doorways of demonic access opened into my life by ungodly soul ties or any other sort of sin and I ask you to seal those doorways forever with the Blood of the Lam, shed on the cross of Calvary. I thank you for doing this in Jesus name, Amen

Application is better than accumulation

Gaining a true understanding of God's word is far more important than the ability to recite scripture on demand.
When you read Gods word it's like hooking yourself to an IV. His vision for your life spreads through you. It's up to you to allow it to show threw in your everyday life. But we must remember that good works do not save us , but they display our faith.
Read James 2:17-26
How can you apply Gods word into your life?

You Can't Buy or Earn God's Love

Day 21 of the 21 Day Intentional Prayer Challenge. We have made it! I pray that we have all gained strength during this time of intentional prayer and being present in our worship and communication with God. As we close out this challenge I pray that each of you have established a new level of rest in God. He is most definitely listening to our prayers and If we listen he will speak to us. Guiding us every step of the way. I will close out this challenge with this. We must remember that God's love is already ours. He has given it freely. John 3:16 We can not buy or earn God's love. As good as we may feel from this purposely set aside time to commune with him don't feel like you have done good therefore earning his love. If you didn't stick with it don't feel that you have somehow become unworthy of his love. God's love has no beginning or ending. Live life fully responding to his love not in hopes of attaining or keeping it.

Prayer Changes Things, But are You Praying?

The following is an earlier journal entry from a few months ago but I felt as though it had much to do with my feelings at hand. So I am sharing it now.

Yesterday I had a chance to go out after work to hang out with some of my sorors’, with one of their family members house. On the way there I was seemingly in a good mood. I had just gotten off of work and was kind of happy to be having a little time to get away for some time without the hubby and the kids, to clear my head and allow time for my thoughts to stir.

After a short while of driving I noticed several police cars parked on the corner of the street I needed to turn on. Initially I thought “Gosh here we go again with nonsense, and they are blocking my way”. I got caught at the light so I had a chance to see exactly what was going on. To my surprise one of the people sitting on the curb, handcuffed, and surrounded by officers who had a battery of questions was a gentleman who I was familiar with. He lived in my neighborhood with his mother and I immediately thought “Well I guess everything has finally caught up with him”.  He wasn’t really all that bad, but I consistently saw him moving about the neighborhood making bad choices and heading down the wrong path. I watched what seemed like an eternity as he tried to explain and answer the officer’s questions. We did catch eyes briefly and he simply looked away. I felt compelled to ask, are you ok? Is there anything that I can do? But, I felt powerless, and though I felt for the young man I just continued to have the feeling that there was nothing I could do to better the situation or make a difference.

I did think to call my husband and notify him of the incident, I thought maybe he could tell his mother just in case he did not make it home and she would at least have an idea of what was going on with her son. After hanging up I continued my drive. I noticed that the sky slowly began to darken, due to the impending storm which was on its way. After a few minutes it began to rain, I slowly rolled up my window to shield myself , but in that moment I began to think of a young lady that I had meet at a conference a few months earlier. For some reason we really connected, although we did not have a chance to really sit and talk exclusively amongst ourselves, the several time that we did cross paths we had pleasant conversation. I had thought of her several times since returning home and tried a few times to reach her by phone with no success. Since I was going towards her side of town, I thought I would give her a call and check to see how she was doing and potentially meet up for lunch. To my surprise this time she answered the call. I spoke briefly with her and discovered that in just that short time since I had last seen her she had some ordeals occur and as a result she moved to another state. She apologized for not getting back to me but that “her life was just all over the place and she really needed to focus on getting things back together”. While listening it began to rain extremely hard. It sounded as if the ocean was falling from the sky.  I spoke with her a few minutes more, and then ended the conversation assuring her that I would check in on her and that I wished her the best. I could feel that she was trying to push forward, whatever the situation may have been. Again I felt powerless, and as if there was nothing I could do.

I drove the rest of my trip in the rain which lasted only about 10 minutes. I looked to my right and noticed I had forgotten to roll up my passenger side window and rain had covered my chair. I figured it was wet now so no need to bother wiping it up, I just rolled up my window just enough to let air in but no more rain. As I finished the last leg of my drive, I turned up my radio which had been playing softly in the background. A popular song was on by Kirk Franklin called “I smile”, liked the message of this song and turned it up. It was upbeat and cheerful and made me forget about the young man from my neighborhood, and the telephone conversation I just had. Next a song came on that quickly brought some things into perspective. The choir belted the verse "You’ve got to stay prayed up!”. I listened to the rest of the song but these were the only words that stuck with me.

Today, when I sat down to begin to work these words and my encounters with both the young man and my acquaintance, both rushed back into my mind.

As I thought back over my drive, I could see what message God was trying to deliver to me through these songs and the rain. I treated both of these people as I did my seat in my car. I acknowledged that it was raining, was affected by it, but did nothing to address the situation; other than to roll up my window to prevent me from being affected by what was happening around me. I didn’t even bother to wipe up the rain that had made it into my car, I just figured it would dry, why worry myself about it. I walked away from each situation feeling hopeless, powerless, and left with a since of “what can I do about it”. But there was something I could do, Pray!

Many times in life, as believers, we take for granted that we are shielded from many obstacles and trials the advisary releases into the atmosphere because of God’s divine grace, mercy, and love. We do however forget that even though we can often see the light at the end of the tunnel, or can have hope, even when we can’t, that there are many that just can’t seem to. Can we necessarily stop the rain, no, but what we can do is make an effort to deal with the rain drops that do splatter our way. Both of these people were dealing with rain in their lives. Their situations through watching and listening spilled into my life, even if for a minute.  I could have taken the time to deal with it. With the young man I could have had countless times to tell him about God and ask him to consider giving his life to God, instead of just being annoyed when he acting unruly in the neighborhood. With my acquaintance, I could have offered words of encouragement and assurance that God was there with her in her time of need, and that he would not leave her. In both instances when I felt powerless, and that there was nothing I could do I should have immediately offered a prayer in their behalf to allow God’s will and purpose to be spoken over their lives and current circumstances.  We already know that God can take a seemingly negative situation and make it work to his good.

It is not by chance that people are brought into your life, for any amount of time. As vessels of God we must know that he is constantly expecting us to use or knowledge of him and his mercy to witness and intercede for his children who don’t know how.

We hear it all the time.  Prayer changes things. Yes it does, but you have to be praying. We activate our faith through our prayers. As children of God this is one of our most powerful weapons. It is our direct communication to him. Through prayer, we can ask God questions, vent, receive instruction, and be led in times of uncertainty.

The next time you don’t know what to do, instead of doing nothing, Pray!
